Listed in no particular order here are the 5 books I believe every entrepreneur must read

  1. The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason is a great book to introduce yourself to the concept of how money works, what assets are and how to protect your money. This book is a must read for every entrepreneur but should also be read by everyone in general.
  1. You have a desire to start your own business but not sure where or how to start, then The 4-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferris is the book for you. Think of this book as a start-up manual or essential tool in your entrepreneurs toolkit.
  1. The third book is, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. If I were to pick one book out of the hundreds of books I’ve read, I would recommend this book. This book is a culmination from years of research, a course on salesmanship taught by Napoleon Hill and countless interviews from some of the wealthiest and most influential men at the time of writing. A couple of the biggest takeaways from this book are, you must have a chief definite aim, backed by a burning desire with the support of your mastermind team.
  1. The fourth book I recommend is E-Myth Revisited by Micheal Gerber. He states that “If your business depends on you, you don’t own a business, you have a job. And it’s the worst job in the world.” he defines the differences between being a technician, being an employee, business owner, working in-your-business and working-on-your-business. This is a must read book for anyone considering making the switch from employee to starting your own business.
  1. After reading Michael’s book, a great follow-up is Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. Robert expands on Michael’s ideas of being an employee. The Rich Dad Poor Dad book goes into more details to explain that it’s extremely unlikely you will leave the rat race and become rich by being an employee. Rich Dad Poor Dad illustrates 4 paths for accumulating money and wealth which are Employee, Self Employed, Business Owner and Investor.
